| Shoes created by Manolo Blahnik are always recognizable: a narrow toe, a high heel and something unique in material, design or adornment. For more than a 30 year history of the brand Manolo Blahnik has designed lots of shoes that have become real works of art. The designer has unique steady style but he keeps running bold experiments and searching fresh ideas. That makes each pair of his shoes special and inimitable. |
|
| The most beloved models among Blahnik’s creations are pumps with a stiletto heel. The designer takes classic shapes as a basis and then adds some distinctive features. He paints shoes in bright colors or adorns straps with stones, feathers, buckles. |
|
| One of the favorite shoes for lots of fashion lovers is a model featuring extremely thin straps that make an emphasis on how sexual a female foot looks. By the way, Uma Thurman has already tried them on. |

| Actually, among Manolo Blahnik fans there are a great number of celebrities. For example, Madonna, Electra, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hillary Duff, Kate Moss and so on and so forth. Interesting to know that in a wardrobe of Diane von Furstenberg, well known designer, are kept more than 80 pair of Blahnik masterpieces. Impressive, yeah? There is no doubt Celebrities Go Mad about Shoes. |

| The most famous fan of the designer is doubtlessly Sarah Jessica Parker. On the screen Carrie Bradshow in Sex and the City always wore shoes from Manolo, spoke about them all the time and even meeting a thief begged to steal anything he wanted but for her favorite pair of sandals. |

| So it is a pity that in a new series that is about to come out the stage director has decided to change Manolo for Christian Louboutin. Though, Blahnik seems to be glad. According to his words, he has never dreamt of being famous but after Sex and the City every passer-by recognizes him, so he has got tired of being in the limelight.
I wonder that Manolo Blahnik brand has no designer stuff as any other brand does. Each pair of shoes is the hard work of Manolo. |

Dream Shoes from Manolo Blahnik
Wednesday, September 30th, 2009Celebriries Go Mad About Shoes!
Thursday, August 20th, 2009|
Often we try to persuade ourselves that celebrities are ordinary people with ordinary tastes. However, I can hardly believe in this. The majority of them, for example, go mad about shoes. |

Paris Hilton travels around the world, boosting Paris Hilton Footwear Collection. However the star doesn’t carry these shoes – she has about 400 pairs of footwear, moreover each pair is custom-made (on the one hand, it is connected with her capriciousness, but on the other hand, the star has the big size of the foot). |
|
The actress Jessica Alba collects footwear as well. Footwear occupies two rooms in her house. What is surprising is that in everyday life Alba carries nothing but slippers. She needs heels only for official events which take place approximately once a week. Once Jessica paid over 40 thousand dollars for a pair of shoes from Celine collection. |

Avril Lavin’s favorite footwear is sneakers. However, she has no favorite shoe brand, therefore the singer buys up everything she likes! “I have Converse sneakers, Dickies and Osiris as well. I don’t know for sure how many…but over a hundred.” |
|
David Beckham is very picky about his footwear, it is important for him from a professional point of view. That’s why his football boots are custom-made. The trouble is he puts on such football boots only once.
Beckham’s wife Victoria buys a pair of shoes from each Christian Louboutin collection. Can you imagine that? Victoria is so mad about heels that in case there’s no her size, she buys a bigger one and carries it putting some paper in it so that not to slip out. |

In short, stars’ madness about footwear is obvious. Many of them even launch own shoe lines. And when their closets are replete with numerous boxes with footwear, stars sell them at auctions considerably raising their own popularity. |
Timberland - Fall/Winter 2009-2010
Wednesday, July 8th, 2009Timberland footwear brand does not belong to Fashion Houses with century-long histories, and is not represented at the High Fashion weeks in Milan or Paris. Nevertheless, the most famous creation by the brand’s designers – the yellow boots – are exhibited at the London Museum of International Contemporary Design and is sold at the famous London store - the Selfridges. In fact, “yellow boots” are so closely associated with the brand, that if asked, any American would easily make the connection: Yellow Boots - Timberland.
The legend has it, that the color of the shoe – the bright yellow - was not chosen at random. The shoe was intentionally made to stand out in the forest environment, so that the woodsmen, who were by the way the target audience for the shoe, would not drop timber on each other when working. This version is supported by the name of the brand itself – Timberland, and the company’s logo - American oak.
The models of the last couple of seasons are notable in that they all tend to carry that new trend in Timberland shoes, where conventional American style is being replaced with the new shapes and lineament of footwear for men.
The new Fall Winter Collection continues to surprise us with new ideas, implemented into the models, where classical features are beautifully combined with innovative solutions and high-quality materials.
The shoes in this collection are primarily inspired by the shoes of the English workers in the 30-s. The shoes were made of rough materials and were produced according to a special technology. Looks like the polished worn out leather, along with big buckles and zippers are the distinguishing elements of this season’s Timberland shoes. The collection is divided into three styles - Colrain (military style), Counterpane (ultrastylish shoes) and Tackhead (reflection of the new inventive Timberland style).
Celebrities Choose New Balance
Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009Throughout the years New Balance brand has established itself as a reliable, high quality, inexpensive shoe producer, who spends a minimum amount of time and effort on advertising. The philosophy of the company lies in the fact that no particular emphasis is given to any specific shoe.
Another interesting point is that instead of giving their shoe styles sophisticated and catchy names, like most of the other shoe manufacturers do, New Balance assigns a number to each of the styles. When the shoe is redesigned, the style is marked up by one. The mystery of what those four or three digits in the name of the style are is yet to be resolved by the general public.
Today, given the number of appearances by world celebrities made when wearing New Balance shoes, it looks like the trend of no or, better to say, little advertising, is about to change. It all started with professional NBA basketball players (Charlie Bell of Milwakee Bucks and Matt Bonner of San Antonio Spurs), who wore New Balance shoes (BB 8026 and BB904) during a couple of games.

The trendency is now being picked up by Hollywood stars, who all of a sudden seem to be in love with New Balance Styles. Kanye West became the first celebrity to appear in public wearing the exclusive United Arrows x New Balance 997.5 while accompanied by his bold girlfriend. Kanye West was also spotted wearing the same pair of sneakers during the High Fashion Week in London.

Other less glamorous Hollywood stars, such as Hayden Christensen, Seth Rogen and Eric Dane also gave in to the New Balance fever. While Christensen chooses classical running shoes New Balance U420BG, Dane preferred a more popular New Balance style - New Balance M1400LLV.
Now, why the celebrities chose to wear New Balance is a big question. Time will show whether this is a conscientious step in the direction of increased advertising volumes, or a willing choice of Hollywood.
